Sardines in olive oil 8/10

Ingredients: Sardines (Sardine pilchardus), olive oil and salt.

The process of preparing sardines in olive oil is highly demanding. On receipt at the factory, the sardines are carefully deheaded and gutted to avoid breakage. Next, they’re placed on grills and immersed in brine (water and salt), which gives them flavour and consistency. Subsequently, they’re subjected to a traditional roasting and then packed by hand in each tin. Once the olive oil covering is added, the containers are closed and sterilised with rigorously controlled processes that guarantee the conservation and quality of the product for years, without the need to add preservatives or artificial additives.
