PURCHASE PROCESS

Shopping at MARISKITO is simple and orders can be placed in many ways:

If you decide to make your purchase through the online store (mariskito.com):

01. Browse our catalogue and find any product that interest you. One click will take you through to the product page, where you'll be able to see detailed photographs, product characteristics, available sizes and prices. Depending on the product, you can specify how you want us to prepare it (raw, cooked...).

02. Once you've selected the product and pressed "add to basket", you can then choose to “continue shopping” or "go to checkout".

03. If you want to continue shopping, you can simply repeat the process. If you want to process the order, check that everything is correct and then confirm your Shipping date (within the following seven days, excluding Sundays and Mondays). You'll also be able to redeem any discount code here, or, if you wish, provide any additional information about your order. Once the order has been processed, you'll need to register.

04. After entering your details, check they're correct and then click "Save". The confidentiality of your data and the security of the transaction is always guaranteed.

05. Select a payment method (Link question > Which payment method can I use to make my purchase?)

06. Confirm your order.

07. You'll then receive an email confirming your order. This is verification that your order is being processed.

Of course. If it's more convenient for you, you can contact us by calling 986 228 593 to place your order or make any enquiries. It's a simple and flexible method. If doing so, payment must be made by bank transfer to the account number we'll provide at the time of purchase. Once we have receipt of the transfer by email, we'll proceed with the shipment.

PAYMENT

01. Card. If payment is made by credit or debit card, which is the most commonly used means of payment for e-commerce, simply enter your card number, expiry date and security code, and our secure payment system, through La Caixa, will process the transaction.

02. PayPal. If you have a PayPal account, your purchases will be even faster and safer. For more information: PayPal.

03. Online Bank Transfer. If you prefer, you can also pay by online bank transfer, thanks to the convenience and security of the SOFORT platform. Without having to register, and with bank details that only you know, your order can be processed and sent immediately thanks to the real-time transaction confirmation we receive.

SHIPPING

Orders are carefully packed in an expanded polystyrene box, with the products separated, and the box securely closed and sealed. Shipping is via express refrigerated transport, which allows us to reach any point of the Peninsula or Balearic Islands maintaining its temperature at all times (the product will always be kept at between 2 and 6 °C) and keeping it in excellent conditions.

When you place your order through our online shop, you can select the day you wish to receive it. Bear in mind that shipping days are from Tuesday to Saturday. We don't deliver on Sundays or public holidays, in accordance with the working timetables of fish markets and couriers. For the same reason, we also don't on Mondays or days after public holidays, as our deliveries are made from one day to the next. We only deliver on Mondays in Vigo and the surrounding area.

As a general rule, Mariskito commits to delivering products to your home the following morning if the order is placed before 12 noon, as long as the products ordered are available. Regardless of the shipping date chosen, it will be prepared and packed the day before shipping.

Shipping within the Mainland Spain is FREE on orders over €100 (VAT included). If the order is under €100, the transport cost is €9.50 (VAT included).

For deliveries to the Balearic Islands, the cost of transport has a €20 (VAT included) surcharge, i.e. the cost is €20 (VAT included) for orders over €130, and €29.50 if the order is under €100.

We do also currently ship within the European Union. In this case, orders must be placed by phone to confirm that the service can be provided, as well as the increase in the cost of transport.

Through “My Account”, you can view and manage your order history, the discount codes you've used, your Shipping addresses, and your personal details.

PRICES

All prices that appear in the mariskito.com online shop already have the corresponding VAT applied, which is 10% on all products apart from wine, which is subject to 21% VAT.

No, the price is the same no matter if you order the fish whole, untouched, or prepared the way you want it. We supply fish to your specifications at no extra cost. All you have to do is tell us how you'd like us to prepare it during the purchase process.

No, the price is the same regardless of whether you order live or cooked seafood. We can cook the seafood at no extra cost. All you have to do is tell us how you'd like us to prepare it during the purchase process.

Occasionally, there may be a difference between the order placed and what we can actually send you. This may be due to differences in the weight of a product or because we've not been able to buy one of the requested species. In such case, we'll contact you by phone/email to get your approval before sending the product.

As for any difference in costs as a result of the agreed changes, if it's in your favour, we will refund it directly to the credit card you used to make the payment. If it's in the opposite direction, we’ll let you know the outstanding amount so that you can make the payment by bank transfer or through the online shop.

It's important to follow all steps to ensure the shellfish is cooked correctly:

01. Cook in water with a bay leaf and plenty of salt, in proportions appropriate for its type. One tablespoon of salt is equivalent to 15 grams

02. Live shellfish must be placed in cold water and cooked as the water heats up. Cooking time is counted from the moment the water starts boiling. Non-live shellfish should be placed in the water after it starts boiling, and the cooking time is counted from the moment the water begins to boil again.
