Green algae in different colours, of Atlantic and wild origin. Common on the Galician coast and its beaches, coinciding with the arrival of good weather.

You can enjoy this exquisite product in an infinite number of ways, and it can even be eaten raw. Perfect for summer salads.

Sea lettuce (Ulva) belongs to the green algae family, the most common one.

It’s rich in vitamins A, D, C, B2, B3, B9 and B12. It’s also high in fibre and mineral salts (iron, potassium, selenium and calcium, among others).

You can enjoy this exquisite product in an infinite number of ways, and it can even be eaten raw. Perfect for summer salads.

Preparation

Raw: Cut it into thin strips, soak it for 10 minutes in water with salt and lemon, clean it if there are any shell remains, and then add to the salad.

Boiled: Boil with the rest of the vegetables to make soups, creams, stews...

Stir-fried: For scrambled eggs, empanadas, cannelloni, salpicón...

50 g = accompaniment for 10 servings.
